The Ashes, final test.

"Raindrops keep falling on my head".
Slow, miserable, persistent English rain.
The Russians have General Winter.
The English (in cricketing terms at least) have Colonel Pissindown-Katzendogs.
Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!

Typical, Pommy bastard. Don't want to win on merit, need the rain to save your arses. You know you are going to lose this match if they get the full 5 days out of it. Langer and Hayden have finally woken up.

My dear ocker chap, our embrace of "Colonel Pissindown-Katzendogs" (nice one AB) is merely a reflection of our new pan-Europeanism. As you cantell by the name the colonel (like Bowles) is a creature of the teutonic regions as most of our rain blows in from the silesean plain.

One might point out also that as a typical aussie bastard you appear to be lining up yet another glorious victory that never was so you can moan on about it for the next umpteen years. Australia is the most hard done by nation in the world apparently; the times I have heard of the sporting events you would have won if it weren't for the weather, the lbw rule, the refs, the bad case of Swan's poisoning, the lumpy turf, and so on.

Still, it is reassuring to see that despite our relative decline in the global power stakes the former colonies are still so insecure vis a vis England that it matters so very much for them to beat us, so much so that they pour millions of dollars into sporting academies and so forth. Gosh, its awfully flattering to be so overweening in the lives and psyches of supposedly independent and mature nations like ickle wickle Austarlia-poops.

You're damn right Clokes me old mucker, We have no desire to win on merit we just want to win. To beat you.
To destroy you.
To annihaliate you.
To learn how to spell.
To crush you again like we used to when we used to use you as a prison colony (does anyone recall stray youths causing fuss in cities in the 1700s? No, they were all transported and a bloody good job too).
There, I said it.

Dean Jones has just called Andrew Flintoff the best player in the world. You guys have gotten to him.
In the next breath, he says, there have been 17 LBWs (england) to 10 for the Aussies.
