Job.

No, not the fellow from the old testament (although moving across the Atlantic would try his patience I'm sure) I mean the paying money for services rendered variety.

I just got one!

Still teaching, but teaching my all time favourite age group, not a thousand miles from where we'll be living (although let's just say that my five years of having a 12 minute commute are certainly over. There's something distinctly karmic about that).

A telephone interview this morning and yeah! Stable Employment beckons.

Huzzah! Congratulations, old boy. Little confused though: you say "still teaching" but then mention "stable employment". Will you be tutoring apprentice jockeys at Fakenham races?

Good news! Nice school? Opportunities to impart your wisdom of the game?

Weasel, I shall be back in the fold of South West Norfolk, close enough to the Cold War airbases just in case there are any loocal difficulties.

Mark, My coaching career did indeed come up in the interview.

Yeah I know, but you see you wrote "stable employment" so I wrote "jockey" as it was a joke, you see.. oh, never mind.

Good to see you have readapted to the Norfolk pronunciation of "local" already, however.

I'm too tall and not Irish enough to be involved in horses and all that. Although I do like a look at the races when the mood takes me.

Are you being obtuse on purpose?

I think I'm mostly always obtuse on purpose. I'm certainly being tired by default.
