Rain stopped play?

The Clement Attlee Junior School old boys XI have called upon my services.

It's been raining for three days straight.

I'm dressed in whites and am about to play up and play the game.

The sun is theatening an appearance before 3pm (when a decision will be made).

I've even got hold of a raspberry victoria sponge cake.

The weather. Oh, the weather.

Some people have been saying things about the English.

Fair enough.

I'd just like to share a spot of evidence that I may very well have reassimilated.

We have recently been enjoying some absolutely splendid weather, "Shirtsleeves weather". Temperatures in the high 20's centigrade (70's, almost 80's Fahrenheit), clear blue skies, calm air, simply wonderful.

Today it clouded over and tomorrow threatens a shower or two.

I heard myself say to someone at work "I'll be quite glad to get a spot of rain again".

I'm back.

Reasons to move to England.

I think the coffee machine is about to die and I cant be bothered to spend $30 on a new one. looks like it's coffee to go from now on.

Frau Random Doubt just got her UK visa.

His Majesty St Tony of Blair just sealed the deal and has offically invited the missus to go and live in the green and pleasant land.

By the way it took less than a week for all the visa stuff to be worked out.
